Nominations are now open for the 2025-27 Washington State Poet Laureate!<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Washington State Poet Laureate promotes appreciation of poetry\u2014including the state\u2019s legacy of poetry\u2014through public readings, workshops, lectures, and presentations in culturally and regionally diverse communities across the state. Self-nominations are accepted and encouraged.<\/p>\n

The deadline to nominate or apply is Friday, December 6, at 5:00 p.m.<\/strong><\/p>\n

ArtsWA and Humanities Washington provide funding for the Laureate\u2019s honorarium ($40,000 annually), travel, and project expenses.<\/p>\n
